Please ensure you meet the minimum criteria before applying for full Accreditation. Requirements are outlined in detail within the Accreditation and Grandparenting Policies, applicable depending on year of graduation. First-time applicants must download and complete either a digital or paper copy of the Application for Accreditation Form and Supervisor’s Report Form(s).

The onus is on the applicant to share the relevant supporting documentation with their current Supervisor who must sign on the Accreditation Application Form to confirm they have seen evidence in support of the completed logs.

Please email your completed Application Form, Supervisor’s Report Form(s), as well as all supporting documents outlined below, to acapaccreditation@gmail.com. Do not begin the application process until you have the following documentation ready to submit via email:

● Up to date Children’s First Certificate

● Child Art Psychotherapy Training Certificates

● Evidence of Public Liability Insurance either via main employer or of private insurance, for working as a Psychotherapist with under 18’s.

● Completed ‘ACAP Accreditation Application Form’, co-signed by the applicant's current Supervisor.


● Supervisor’s Report Form, which has been completed by a supervisor who has been working with the applicant for a minimum of six months. If the supervisory relationship is less than six months old, then the previous supervisor must also complete a report.

● Confirmation of Personal Psychotherapy hours

After emailing your documentation to acapaccreditation@gmail.com please fill out the details below and continue to the next page for payment of the €125 application fee. Only once you have received confirmation from the Accreditation Committee that your application has been successful can you convert your membership from Pre-Accredited to Accredited, using the link at the top of this page.

Please Note: This payment of €125 is for an Application for Accreditation and is separate to the one year annual ACAP membership. You may only make an application for accreditation if you are already a Pre-Accredited Member of ACAP. You will be invited to convert to Accredited Membership after your application for accreditation has been deemed successful by the Accreditation Committee. You will be informed of the outcome of your application via email.

The Accreditation Committee aims to meet on a quarterly basis, it may therefore take approximately three months for you to receive feedback on your application. Further delays may occur should your application be deemed incomplete.
