The ACAP has issued this Code of Ethics and Mission Statement with the aim of providing its members with the fundamental principles, standards and guidelines for good practice. This is to support them in their work, as well as to inform and protect members of the public using their services.
An updated Code of Ethics will be available early 2020.
The Association of Child Art Psychotherapists shall honour and promote the fundamental rights, dignity and worth of all children and adolescents.
The rights of individuals to privacy, confidentiality, self-determination, cultural diversity and autonomy will be respected consistent with the psychotherapists’ other professional obligations in keeping with the law.
